We’re excited to announce some great changes to our TWT’s for this year’s tournament. Here’s the break down for what they look like this year:
Largest King Mackerel TWT
This is the original TWT. The largest King Mackerel (by weight) wins and the TWT will pay out 3 places with the purse split 60/25/15.
Small Boat TWT – $150
This one is new this year. Since participation was low for the single engine TWT last year, we’ve decided to open up the field a bit this year. This TWT is open to all boats with a manufacturer’s specified LOA of 27′ 11″ or less. This mirrors the requirements for the SKA small boat class. The TWT will payout 3 places (60/25/15) for the largest king mackerel (by weight) for entrants in the TWT.
High Roller TWT – $300
Wow, we were blown away last year by the participation in this TWT, so we’ve brought it back again for 2015. This one raises the stakes a bit and pays 3 places (60/25/15) for the heaviest king mackerel among the TWT’s participants.
Mahi & Amberjack TWT’s – $150
Variety is the spice of life, right? Well here’s some variety for you. This year we’re introducing 2 species specific TWTs. One for dolphin and one for amberjack. Both will pay 3 places (60/25/15) for the heaviest fish weighed for each species. Only one fish per species per boat.
High Stakes Winner Takes All – $1250
Ok, we know that this one isn’t for everyone, but if you think you’ve got what it takes to be the best of the best, then here’s you’re chance to really up the ante. This is a high-stakes TWT that pays one place for the heaviest king mackerel (thus the winner takes all moniker). If you’re the kind of captain that has what it takes to rule the field and you want to maximize your payday, this is the TWT for you!
