Tournament Format

The 2021 King Mackerel Tournament will adhere to the following format. For more detailed information refer to our official rules.

Angler Categories
  • Standard (All Entries)
  • Junior Angler
    No additional fee for Junior Anglers. Prizes will be awarded to the Top Junior Angler based on the heaviest single King Mackerel. Prize pool for Junior Angler to be funded 100% by category sponsors. Prize pool will be announced at the captain’s meeting.

Fishing Days

 The tournament will consist of two fishing days. Primary tournament awards will be based on the combined weight of two fish. Captains can choose to fish one or both days, but only two fish can be weighed-in.

Fishing Days will be November 6 and November 7.

 Primary Species

  • King Mackerel (Scomberomorus cavalle)

TWT Specific Species

  • Wahoo (Acanthocybium solandri)

Number of Fish
  • Only 2 King Mackerel per boat to be weighed for the entire tournament. You can choose to weigh one fish per day, or two fish on a single day, but no more than two fish total.
  • Only 1 fish from the other designated categories per boat, per fishing day.

  • Largest King Mackerel
  • High Roller (Largest King Mackerel)
  • Small Boat (27’11” Max LOA, Largest King Mackerel)
  • Largest Wahoo
  • High Stakes Winner Takes All
  • High Roller, Small Boat, King Mackerel and Wahoo TWT will be available for each fishing day and also for the overall event. Daily and Overall TWT’s are each separate entries. To win a daily TWT, you must purchase a TWT entry for that day (i.e. Day 1 TWT or Day 2 TWT). Likewise to win the overall TWT, you must purchase an entry for the Overall TWT.

All TWT’s will pay a maximum of 3 places with the exception of the “High Stakes Winner Takes All” TWT which pays 1 place.

Daily TWT format will be heaviest single fish and Overall TWT’s will be based on total weight of the two fish aggregate.
